The Anacortes Public Library has been enriching the lives of Anacortes residents since 1911. In 2003 a new 28,000 square foot library opened on the corner of 10th and M Street. Up to 600 people use the Library’s facilities each day. Books are only the start! In addition to the Library’s extensive collection of books, you will also find a wide selection of audio visual material, a children’s library with educational work stations, free access to databases, an ever growing collection of e-books and e-audiobooks, and several special collections (including jazz, maritime and gardening). In addition to the Library’s lending facilities, a full range of educational and cultural programs is offered. Study rooms and community meeting space are also available; these spaces may be reserved.
